Health Education for Adolescent girls

Adolescent girls are amongst the key beneficiaries of interventions made by Inchara Foundation. We encourage children to become catalysts of change, to become self reliant and productive members of society who are capable of making informed decisions that benefit them and the society at large.

The programme engages adolescent girls (aged 12—18 years) who have scarce opportunities for education and livelihood and who are exposed to violence, despair, substance abuse and diseases.

The programme also encourages children to develop a healthy mind and body, as well as embrace good cultural practices and beliefs. It draws attention to unhealthy social practices such as child marriage, gender inequality, violence against women and exploitation of children.

Health Camps

Inchara Foundation is committed towards promoting wellness in the community. We have expertise in organizing medical camps in the urban and rural areas which includes distribution of free medicines in collaboration with hospitals and departments of Gynecology, Dental Care, Medicine (MD), Ophthalmology (eye specialist), and dermatology (skin care).

We also conduct special camps for women where screening of cervical cancer is combined with awareness talks etc.

Children are also trained in personal health hygiene with emphasis on various techniques to wash hands. All this is done through awareness talks and videos.
